TOP TIPS ON CANNABIS CULTIVATION - IN THE CLOSET

1.    Get yourself some good seeds froma a reputable dealer.

2.    Germinate seeds by putting some wet toilet paper in a glass, put the seed between the glass and the paper and keep moist.

3.    As soon as the seed begins to germinate, plant about 2cm deep in a neutral Ph potting mixture. Put under 24hour/day light. The best lights for the vegetative state are "Cool White" Fluorescent lights. Place a plastic bag over pot to create a humidity tent.

4.    Keep on this kind of light until the plant is about half as tall as you would like it to be when you harvest it. Fertilise with a high Nitrogen content fertiliser.

5.    Change lighting to High Pressure Sodium, if you cannot afford both lights then you would be better off just having a HPS and not bothering with the Cool White Fluoro, and alternate with 12 hours light and 12 hours dark (and when I say dark I mean Pitch Black). This will convince the plant that it is time to flower.

6.    Switch fertiliser to a high Phosphorus content one.

7.    It will soon be apparent which sex the plants are. In doubt, see THIS for information.

8.    Kill the males. Nurture your ladies.

9.    When the hairs on the buds all turn orange it's time to harvest.

10.   Hack down the plants and hang upside down in a dark dry place.

11.   When the buds are dry on the outside, transfer to a brown paper bag and "cure" for about 2 weeks. Basically just rotate them in the bag every day, making sure there is no mold on them.

TIP OF THE DAY

Have a fan blowing on your ladies for at least 6 hours a day. This will strengthen the stems and give you more yeild.
